About ZED Cardio
ZED Cardio is a paediatric cardiology calculation and reference support platform for appropriately trained healthcare professionals. It supports cardiovascular measurements, selected Z-score calculations, reference information and clinical pathway support.

Calculator inputs and outputs in ZED Quick Tools are processed in your browser. ZED Cardio does not receive or store the entered height, weight or calculated result. Do not enter patient names, NHS numbers, hospital numbers, dates of birth, addresses or other directly identifiable information anywhere on this website.
Data entered into the app
The app may allow users to enter non-identifiable parameters needed for calculations, including age or gestational age, sex, height, weight, body surface area, cardiovascular measurement values, selected references and calculated outputs.
ZED Cardio is designed to support non-identifiable sessions. Users should not enter patient names, NHS numbers, hospital numbers, full dates of birth, addresses or other directly identifiable patient information.
Local storage
The app may store current session information and saved measurements locally on the user’s device so that results can be reviewed, edited, exported or cleared. This information is not automatically uploaded to ZED Cardio servers.
Export and sharing
When available, users can choose to export or share results through device features such as PDF export, email, messaging, cloud storage or text copy. Information shared through another service is then handled under that service’s privacy policy and terms.
Support messages
If you contact support, ZED Cardio receives the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots or technical details. This information is used to respond, investigate issues and improve the service. Do not include identifiable patient information.
Analytics and cookies
ZED Cardio may collect aggregated website usage information such as pages visited, calculator completion events and app-store link selections. Clinical input values and calculation results are not included in analytics. Where non-essential analytics require consent, visitors will be offered the appropriate choice.
Data sharing
ZED Cardio does not sell personal or sensitive data. Information may be shared when a user actively exports it, sends a support request, when required by valid legal process, or with service providers needed to operate support and website functions.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored app sessions remain on the device until cleared by the user, removed through app controls or deleted when the app is uninstalled. Support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate problems and maintain appropriate records. Deletion requests can be sent to support@zedcardio.com.
Security and clinical governance
ZED Cardio seeks to minimise the collection of personal or sensitive information. Users remain responsible for handling exported PDFs, copied text, messages and downloaded files according to their local information-governance requirements.
Children’s privacy
Although the platform relates to paediatric cardiology, it is not directed at children. It is intended for healthcare professionals or other appropriately trained users.
